My inspiration for wool applique’ pattern design started…
a long time ago when a fellow nurse taught me to quilt. One thing led to another and I really liked hand work, particularly, wool applique’. It started out with a quilt for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary when I realized I had a pattern to follow but I would rather make my own designs that signified aspects of my parents life. One thing led to another, I designed another quilt which was published in Primitive Quilts and Project and my Etsy shop for my patterns was born. I really love creating things for the home with my designs but the labor intensity of it had me thinking about going back to my roots and just starting with drawing and keeping a sketchbook. That led me to learning about surface pattern design. But it is hard to put down the needle and thread….so I keep designing little things for the home as well! You can find my patterns on my Etsy shop. I definitely aim to have a shop here on my website…but being a one man band has it’s limitations! (everything will develop in its own time!) Clicking on designs here here in the gallery that have a pattern will link you to my Etsy shop.
I also accept custom commissions upon request when available.
